Windrow Harvesters

General Description

The Uniekum in-line Windrow Harvester has been designed for typical South-African soil types and conditions. To make provision for a variety of individual requirements, different models and option packages are available. The harvester can be ordered in two standard widths and there is a choice between a fixed / steering axle and an optional bi-directional cross-conveyor for discharge on either side. Standard on all models is the double web configuration with a shaker for each web. The webs can be ordered in various pitch lengths.

The closed hydraulic circuit is driven from the tractor PTO and provides power for the drive and shaker motors. Speed control on all motors ensure that an optimal harvesting speed combined with effective separation of product and soil can be obtained. A single diabolo roll ensures accurate depth control. Separate, bolt-on type digging shears made of hardened steel and the two depth-adjustable coulter discs on the sides form the entrance of the digging canal. The digging angle of the shears can be adjusted to suit different circumstances.

Some outstanding features of this harvester are the solid construction, functional design, ease of operation and good accessibility for maintenance purposes. The great advantage of the hydraulic system compared to a mechanical drive is the high reliability, good control of harvesting speed and shaker action, and overall durability.
